Cyflwyniad Peiriant Cummins:
Sefydlwyd Cwmni Peiriant Cummins yn Columbus, Indiana, ym 1919 gan William Glanton Irwin a Clessie Cummins, mecanig lleol. Canolbwyntiodd ar ddatblygu’r injan diesel a ddyfeisiwyd 20 mlynedd ynghynt, ond er gwaethaf sawl treial dygnwch a gafodd gyhoeddusrwydd da, nid tan 1933 y profodd eu model H, a ddefnyddiwyd mewn switchers rheilffordd bach, yn llwyddiannus. Daeth peiriannau cyfres Cummins N yn arweinydd y diwydiant yn y ffyniant adeiladu ffyrdd ar ôl yr Ail Ryfel Byd yn yr Unol Daleithiau, gyda mwy na hanner y farchnad tryciau dyletswydd trwm rhwng 1952 a 1959. Yn y 1960au, agorodd y cwmni ffatri ymgynnull mewn ergydion, Yr Alban (ar gau ym 1996). Erbyn 2013, roedd gan Cummins weithrediadau mewn 197 o wledydd a thiriogaethau.
Mae Uned Busnes Peiriant Cummins yn cynnwys cefnogaeth ôl-farchnad, peiriannau canol-ystod, dyletswydd trwm a phwer uchel.
